5 great moves to stay active at your work desk

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

Are you at the office all day (whether at home office or elsewhere) that requires you to be at a computer screen for hours? Have you thought of how you could fit some physical activity into your day?

Here are 8 great ways to stay moving throughout your work day.

  1. Sit to stands at your desk. Think squats. Use your chair as a base and stand then sit. Do this continuously for 30 seconds.

  2. Pushups. No need to go on the floor! Use your desk for an incline pushup. Do this continuously for 30 seconds.

  3. High knees at the desk. Stand from your chair. Alternating knees, lift one knee up, place foot back on floor, then lift the other. Do this continuously for 30 seconds.

  4. Chair Dips. Test out those triceps! Scoot forward on the chair to where just your palms are flat on the seat. Your knees bent, feet flat on floor. Bend the elbows then straighten. Works the back of the arm. 30 seconds!

  5. Reverse Lunges. Everyone's favorite! Stand with legs hip width. One leg steps backwards, drop that knee to floor. Rise up and step back to start position. Repeat with other leg. 30 seconds is on the clock!

It's your turn to change how you feel at the office. Try this moves consistently for 2 weeks and watch how your productivity changes.
