Remember the PHIT Act?

Do you remember the blog post in March about the PHIT Act? Here's a brief recap of what this bill is about and how this can give the health and fitness industry huge momentum.

The Personal Health Improvement Today (PHIT) Act is designed to use HSA/FSA funds to pay for sports classes and even gym memberships. The goal of this bill is to allow up to $500 (household) or $1,000 yearly for tax-free fitness expenses.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025 the House passed Trump's Tax Bill that includes the PHIT Act. While this bill still has to get passed by the Senate many in the industry are calling this a major win. Can you imagine being able to use your medical funds for a gym membership? Or fitness classes? Or gym equipment?
